So today was such a massive day for me. I finally clicked the magic button and listed my first ever product on Etsy. Yay!!! It was so exciting. I quickly whizzed over to the “Recently Listed” page and waited patiently to see my little painting pop up on the feed. I was so overwhelmed when I saw it I can’t even tell you. The funny part is in my head all I could hear was “We did it, we did it”. Definitely too much Dora The Explorer in this house I think :) Below is a little photo I took to mark the occasion. My camera wouldn’t work on the first listing which was a bit annoying but if you squint really hard and turn your head on a 45 degree angle to the left you might be able to see my “Delta” mermaid painting hiding in there.
Ok so the picture is not that grand (it was taken on my iphone after all) but it captures a really special moment in time for me and I will treasure it forever.
The painting I actually chose to list first was “Believe” as I think it sums up exactly what I need to do. Just believe in my dreams and the rest will follow.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough. My next big first was someone actually added my Etsy store to their favourites. WOW!!! Totally blown away by that. How awesome. But wait there’s more. Within the first couple of hours of me listing my stuff I already had a few hearts too. Well I have to say I Heart Etsy and the people who hang there so much right now. If I wasn’t addicted enough already, I certainly am now.
The third and final “first” today is that I officially have my very first “Like” on my Facebook page. Thank-you so very much and welcome to my one and only liker. I am so thrilled that you saw something in my artwork to inspire you to click that button.
I really have had an epic first day as an Etsy Seller and you know what, even if I never actually sell anything I just love having my own little store. Etsy Rocks!!! :)
