I was so very honoured to be included in this awesome arty treasury on Etsy. Especially as many of the artists here I have admired for a long time. My latest artwork is yet another mermaid. I always look at my other mermaids and just want to redo them all. Instead I thought I would just start a fresh one. I love seeing progress shots so here are a few of Coralei. I’ll explain a bit about her name in a sec. So when I started her I knew I would give her coral coloured hair so in my mind her name was Coral. As I painted her though I knew Coral wasn’t right. Ooops I’ve been neglecting my little blog a bit lately. Here’s the start of what you’ve missed. A new artwork. This one was done as part of Louise Gale’s Colour Challenge. The theme was to create your own interpretation of the colour wheel. The idea for the girls with their hair like this sprung straight into my mind the moment I read the theme. I felt really inspired and just couldn’t stop. I think I painted most of it that day. I like how it’s come out. Very bright and fun. I can now call myself a Seller not just someone with a shop. Yay!!

So today marks a very, very special milestone for me. I made my first sale on Etsy. YAY!!!! I’m officially an Etsy Seller. Woohoo!!! I wish I could bottle the feeling of seeing that little notification e-mail to say an item of yours has sold. I was so overwhelmed I almost cried. Seriously!!!! I was (and still am) so totally humbled and honoured that my wonderful first customer saw something in one of my paintings that inspired them enough to make a purchase from me. I will always remember this day for as long as I live. Thank-you one million [tell me more, tell me more]
