What an Epic Day of Firsts

So today was such a massive day for me. I finally clicked the magic button and listed my first ever product on Etsy. Yay!!! It was so exciting. I quickly whizzed over to the “Recently Listed” page and waited patiently to see my little painting pop up on the feed. I was so overwhelmed when I saw it I can’t even tell you. The funny part is in my head all I could hear was “We did it, we did it”. Definitely too much Dora The Explorer in this house I think :) Below is a little photo I took to [tell me more, tell me more]

Well it’s been a long process but I’m almost ready to launch my Blog, Etsy, Madeit and Facebook Pages. Yeah I know a bit much all at once but oh well. Once it’s set up I can get back to my art and relax a little. No one else is ever going to do it for me so I might as well get stuck into it all at the same time. It’s actually been nice to use my brain for a change. :)

Watermarking is done. Yay!!!

It actually takes a fair bit of time to prepare huge high res images to be fit for the web as well as making sure they’re all watermarked. They’re all done now though so every little thing is one step closer to that magic day when I can smash a champagne bottle over the bough of my computer. :) Here’s one I prepared earlier. She was painted as a reminder to me when I was having a particularly bad day full of self doubt. I have her sitting near where I paint to remind me to just BELIEVE.

Well I guess I’d better put some art on here huh?? I’ve just created a Gallery page where you can browse through some of my recent artworks. You can find it here. I’ll also be doing individual posts about each painting when I get the chance. Everyone is sick with a Kindy Flu in this house at the moment though so I think it’s best if I head to bed as 2 sick kidlets means lots of night time play dates for mummy I’m afraid. Yay for motherhood!!!

So, I decided to get me a blog so I can share my art and stuff without having to bombard my friends and family with “Hey, look at this one” emails all the time. I will start by saying that I’m pretty sure I won’t be a particularly prolific, new post every day type of blogger. Just now and then when I feel the need to share something I’ve created. So anyway I suppose Run Away Violet is off and running…….. Be sure to come back and check on me every once in a while.
