Hi there. It’s me again. You know the chick that’s really slack when it comes to blogging. Did you miss me? What, you didn’t even notice I was gone!! Oh yeah that’s right because I hardly ever blog anyway hehehe. So it’s been a big couple of weeks in cyberland for Run Away Violet. Let me elaborate. First of all the lovely Kristine over at Living in The Moment wrote a lovely blog post about my ‘Fairy Lovesong’ painting as part of her Whimsical Wednesdays. How cool is that? I was so very honoured to be included in this awesome arty treasury on Etsy. Especially as many of the artists here I have admired for a long time. Ooops I’ve been neglecting my little blog a bit lately. Here’s the start of what you’ve missed. A new artwork. This one was done as part of Louise Gale’s Colour Challenge. The theme was to create your own interpretation of the colour wheel. The idea for the girls with their hair like this sprung straight into my mind the moment I read the theme. I felt really inspired and just couldn’t stop. I think I painted most of it that day. I like how it’s come out. Very bright and fun. The title is from a Sneaker Pimps song of [tell me more, tell me more]

Wow!!! This morning I jumped on Facebook for a quick look only to find a link to madeit’s front page which had a Rainbow theme. I clicked on it thinking to myself how cool it would be if my “Rainbow Girl” was in there. I laughed at myself then for being so ridiculous. I only opened my store 2 days ago. As if!!! And suddenly there she was!! Staring back at me in amongst all the beautifully colourful featured items was my little “Rainbow Girl”. How AWESOME!!!!!
